Reveal

We finally have our basement re-do finished! It looks so much different. Of course, when I was most of the way finished, I realized that I had no "before" photos, so we have to make do with this "before ownership" photo to compare.

We went from this:

To this:

The guest bedroom (yes, it is tiny!) had dark wood paneling on the wall at the head of the bed and the same orange-ish carpet. Now it looks positively glowing!

Hooray! I'm very pleased with the results. Thanks for the whitewashing suggestion, S!

I propose a meeting in the new facilities when K and B are able to be out and about.

And not a mole in sight.

Here, here! Looks nice! I think you are being a bit hard on the mole. Maybe she should have been invited to be an ES member. She seemed the type....

I am so impressed with you. Not only starting a project...but finishing as well and in a timely fashion!! Wow. I think you may be up for Elaine of the month.

It helps to have a deadline! The painting had to be finished before the carpet went in or I would have to be careful (not possible).

K finished her gestation project this month too, so I've got competition in the Elaine of the month category!

Here's the real question, which we asked ourselves following the incredible dinner T dropped off. . .do J and T possibly have more hours in a day? I think they might, and it is the best secret ever. You must have at least a third more hours than most of us--otherwise, you are scarily efficient and incredibly talented.

Ah...if only I could discover that secret! The REAL secret (and scarey is right) is the compulsive disorder that I have tendencies toward, which causes me to feel frequently STRESSED OUT while attempting to do EVERYTHING. Also, have you ever noticed that I'm late for just about everything? I still haven't mastered the organization of time!
